Summary:
Vaughn Kyle, an employee of the Wal-Mart-like company Value-X, arrives in quaint little Buffalo Valley intending to find an appropriate site for a new superstore. As he becomes acquainted with the town--and especially with local pharmacist's assistant Carrie Hendrickson--Vaughn becomes conflicted. A new Value-X would threaten Buffalo Valley's businesses, and as Vaughn falls in love with both the town and with Carrie, he is torn between his job and his feelings.
