Rocketing down on a shooting star, Moon Man finds that life on Earth is different than he expected. When Max cuts out words from magazines and newspapers, collecting them the way his brothers collect stamps and coins, they all learn about words, sentences, and storytelling. Norvin, a boy who closely resembles a shark uses his talents to scare away all the swimmers at Caramel Cove, except for one female shark in love. A band of mice set sail to an island inhabited by a hostile Skog, only to find that they have a lot in common. Grandpa tells his two young houseguests a story about his own childhood when he was scared at bedtime. Five brothers who each possess an amazing physical gift conspire to outwit the cruel Emperor, who forced thousands into slavery to build the Great Wall of China.
