  • Library Media Connection : Library Media Connection Reviews 2014 November/December
This is a story about a family who adopts a whippet/Jack Russell/sheltie mix puppy. The adventures begin when they bring Bagels home. Add a cat named Creamcheese and a goldfish named Lox and you have a recipe for disaster. Even though doors and windows are closed, Bagels manages to get into areas of the house that he shouldn't. Eight-year-old Josh is the narrator of the story, and he and his five-year-old sister Becky are responsible for cleaning up the messes that Bagels gets into. This early chapter book is accented with delightful illustrations that children will love. Pet owners will be able to relate to Bagels' mishaps.
