Infamy : a novel / Robert K. Tanenbaum.

Tanenbaum, Robert, (author.).

Summary:

When a former Army veteran suddenly murders two people in New York City before giving himself up, he claims that he had to do it because he was being used in mind-control experiments. Surprisingly, a top Wall Street criminal defense lawyer with ties to the White House decides to defend the killer, claiming that his client suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder from his tours in Afghanistan, and it's his patriotic duty to assist him. New York District Attorney Roger "Butch" Karp and his crime-fighting wife, Marlene, face long odds and imminent danger by not only seeking justice for a murdered FBI agent but also by exposing and preventing a monumental betrayal of our nation's security and integrity. Karp goes up against corruption so powerful that he, his family, and his friends are in danger if he prosecutes those responsible.
