Trésor

Luxbacher, Irene (author.). Messier, Mireille, (narrator.).

Summary: A brother and a sister go on a treasure hunt without knowing exactly what type of treasure they want to discover. But what they know for sure is that a treasure is brilliant, mysterious and precious--and that the best treasures are hard to find! As they explore the forest, the little brother finds objects that could be treasures: a bird's feather, a hazelnut and a milkweed pod. But the sister is not easily impressed. After a while, the brother begins to doubt his sister's ambitions, but their curiosity is rewarded when they discover the biggest, the brightest, the most mysterious and the most precious of treasures, hidden on top of a hill. Told exclusively through dialogue, this tale encourages readers to seek out the little everyday treasures that surround us. Superbly illustrated, Trésor exudes a sense of wonder at nature and underlines the magical qualities of looking through the eyes of a child. Also available in French under the title Treasure. This adapted audiobook includes text descriptions of the images, including the cover page.
